Miranda in shock

Miranda Lambert is up for six ACM Awards this year, and she could not have been in a better place when she heard the news.

"It was crazy the way I found out, because I was at the CBS 'Early Show' with Blake [Shelton], just being the supportive girlfriend," Miranda tells The Boot. "[I] got up early and I was proud because his record was coming out. Not only did I get to hear the nominations in person, but Reba McEntire and my own boyfriend were the ones calling out my name."

Now that she's had a couple of weeks to let the news sink in, she still can't believe her name appears in certain categories. "The most shocking to me was Song of the Year, because I didn't think I had the Song of the Year-type song, because I always think those are inspirational and have some message," the Texan explains. "And 'White Liar' is not the one I thought would be, 'The House That Built Me' Is, but I was just shocked and surprised and so honored to have six nominations. I never would have thought that. I was just hoping for one."

In addition to Song of the Year, for which she's nominated as both the artist and as a writer, Miranda's six nominations also include Top Female Vocalist, Album of the Year for 'Revolution' and both Single and Video of the Year for 'White Liar.'

The 45th Annual ACM Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on April 18 on KENS 5.

Rascal Flatts guitarist and vocalist Joe Don Rooney and his wife Tiffany Fallon, Playmate of The Year 2005, announced today they are anticipating the birth of their second child in September of 2010.

"We are so excited to bring another child into our lives," says Rooney. "Our son Jagger has been the biggest blessing!"

Joe Don and Tiffany were married on April 23, 2006 and are the proud parents of Jagger Donovan Rooney, born May 31, 2008.

People.com says, Luke Bryan and Emily West are headed to Celebrity Apprentice as a project of sorts as the celebrity contestants take part in a "Nashville-themed challenge that will have the celebrity teams try to figure out what it takes to make a country music superstar."

"Reality is so much more fun when it happens with a lot of really famous people," says West. "Although being on set with four camera crews in your face is quite different from being a viewer perched in my comfy couch!"

Bryan admits he was a bit nervous as well. "It was a little intimidating at first with so much happening around us so fast but I just tried to have fun with it all," says the singer. "I'm hoping that I do Nashville, country music and myself proud. I can't wait to see how it turns out on TV."

Billy Currington's latest single, 'That's How Country Boys Roll,' climbed to the top of both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts this week, marking his fifth trip to No. 1 and his third consecutive chart-topper. The song is the follow up to Billy's previous No. 1 single, 'People Are Crazy,' both of which are from his current album, 'Little Bit of Everything.'

The Georgia native co-wrote the song with Dallas Davidson and Brett Jones, drawing inspiration from some of the shenanigans they got into when they were younger, such as "singin' in bars, soupin' their cars, just to see how fast they'll go." "I was with two other Georgia boys who I grew up [near], and they did all the same stuff," Billy tells The Boot. "So, we were talking about all that stuff. And that's how it came about. I think somebody said, 'That's how we roll,' or something like that, and that's how the title came about. We went from there."

Though the song was based on real life, he wasn't sure that it would be the right song for him. "The main thing was after I wrote it, do I record this song or not?" Billy explains. "It's not so much me at the very moment, but yeah, that's how I grew up -- hunting, fishing, dirt roads, you name it. All that stuff."

Billy is certainly glad now that he put the thoughts of not recording the tune aside, since it is now reigning over the country charts. He has a couple of weeks off from the road before he is set to roll on March 24.

Ryan Bingham and T-Bone Burnett have their first Oscars. At the 82nd Academy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday night, the alt-country singer and famed producer won Best Original Song for 'The Weary Kind,' which is featured on the 'Crazy Heart' movie soundtrack.

"Thank you so much," said a beaming Ryan upon accepting the coveted trophy. "I'd like to thank my wife Anna, I love you more than rainbows. My uncle Clay, my band, Jack Whigham, Scott Cooper, the cast of 'Crazy Heart' -- Jeff [Bridges], Maggie [Gyllenhaal], Colin [Farrell] and Mr. Bob [Robert Duvall]. Everyone at Fox Searchlight and Mr. T Bone Burnett and Stephen Bruton. Thank you all so much."

'The Weary Kind' was nominated alongside two Randy Newman songs -- 'Almost There' and 'Down in New Orleans,' from 'The Princess and the Frog,' 'Loin de Paname' from 'Paris 36,' and 'Take It All' from 'Nine.' Ryan and T-Bone's tune was also the winner for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes. Both Collin Farrell and Ryan perform renditions of 'The Weary Kind' in 'Crazy Heart,' which stars fellow Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges as a washed up country singer.

T-Bone and Ryan will continue their magical partnership, as the two are now working together on a new album for Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses.
