Vincent Mason

A country singer/songwriter who balances a plainspoken sincerity with a light soulful touch reminiscent of both Parker McCollum and John Mayer, Vincent Mason worked steadily through the early 2020s until breaking through in 2024 with "Hell Is a Dance Floor." A brooding ballad with a slight Zach Bryan feel, "Hell Is a Dance Floor" offers a departure from the chill vibes that flow through Can't Just Be Me, a 2024 EP that demonstrates Mason's easy touch and earnest vocals. He brought all these influences together on his 2025 full-length debut There I Go.

Born in Roswell, Georgia, on November 10, 2000, Vincent Mason was raised on the outskirts of Atlanta. Originally obsessed with sports, he received his first guitar when he was a high school sophomore. At the end of his time in high school, he started to take the instrument seriously. He brought the guitar to Ole Miss, where he started to compose original material.

Mason moved to Nashville early in the 2020s and worked on his craft while attending Lipscomb University by day. Once the COVID-19 pandemic shut down classes, Mason concentrated on songwriting. Soon, he started posting original material online. During the course of 2022, he released four songs: "Everybody Loves Her," "Made 4," "The Breakdown," "Me and Tennesee."

Throughout 2023, Mason worked steadily, signing with Concord Music Publishing/Hang Your Hat Music and releasing a series of singles -- "A Little Too Good," "Didn't Wanna Settle Down," "Know What You Mean," and "Good Thing Going" -- leading up to the EP A Little Too Good. During all this, he toured with Ashley Cooke, along with opening for Parker McCollum and Niko Moon.

A ruminative song co-written by Chase McDaniel, "Hell Is a Dance Floor" took off early in 2024, leading to a deal with Interscope/UMG Nashville in May 2024. The label released his EP Can't Just Be Me shortly afterward. He supported the EP with a tour featuring supporting slots for Miranda Lambert and Gavin Adcock in the summer of 2024. All of this was a prelude to There I Go, Mason's full-length debut which arrived in November 2025. Along with "Hell Is a Dance Floor," it featured cuts like the rock-infused break-up song "Damned If I Do" and the romantic "Little Miss." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
