Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Approves $2,000 Signing Bonus for New Detention Cadets

Bexar County — Bexar County Commissioners approved of a $2,000.00 recruiting signing bonus for Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Detention Cadets.

As part of the BCSO’s aggressive recruiting campaign, Sheriff Javier Salazar spoke to Commissioner’s Court this afternoon, and Commissioners approved a $2,000 incentive for newly hired detention cadets. These funds will help attract and retain qualified candidates to join the BCSO.

This newly approved incentive will not only attract out-of-town applicants to join the BCSO, but will also assist them in any moving expenditures that are incurred as a result of making the move to Bexar County.

At present, our ongoing “Recruit Texas Tour” has seen its success during our visits to Laredo, TX, Uvalde, TX, and we currently have additional cities that we will be visiting including Dallas, Houston, and El Paso, TX in the coming weeks.
