The “Big Fish” hooked a nice lottery prize by playing the numbers on his younger brother’s license plate.
The anonymous winner was a big winner in the Maryland Lottery in the March 29 drawing, using eight 50-cent straight bets to win the top prize in the Pick 5 game, lottery officials said.
“Big Fish,” who is from Windsor Mill, won with the numbers 2-6-6-6-4. He bought the ticket at Liberty Wine & Spirits in Randallstown, lottery officials said in a news release. The retailer will receive a $250 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winner said he plays the lottery daily and is a big fan of the Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5 and Multi-Match games, lottery officials said. The man, who said he was a material handler, said he was “totally surprised” when he looked at the winning numbers and realized he had won.
“Big Fish” said he has no definite plans on how to spend his winnings. He said he might pay some bills, get his some car maintenance or share his wealth with his five siblings, lottery officials said in the news release.
