This is a lottery version of a triple play.
For the third time in five years, a Maryland woman won her third lottery prize of at least $100,000, state officials said on June 27.
The woman, 30, from Wicomino County on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, won $100,000 in the $100,000 Lucky game, according to the Maryland Lottery website.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw how much I’d won,” the woman said in a statement. “I immediately called my husband and said, ‘We did it again.’”

Winning for a third time was still just as exciting.
“Are you kidding? This is as crazy as it was the other times,” she said. “It’s unbelievable!”
The stay-at-home mother said luck is involved, but she also did research.

“My husband and I do the work on your website,” she told Lottery officials. “We figure out which scratch-off games have been on sale for a long time but still have a lot of big-money prizes.”
That’s what happened when the woman bought the winning ticket at a convenience store in Mandela Springs. The $30 instant ticket, which debuted in September, still has more than 40 top prizes still available, lottery officials said.

“I knew that they sold a big ticket a few weeks ago,” she said in a statement. “I hoped that there was still some luck hanging around there.”
Lottery officials did not say when she won the other two times, or how much she won, other than to say it was more than $100,000.
The woman said she would put her money in the bank and watch it grow with the rest of her winnings.
“We know how lucky we are. This money, as was the case with our other big wins, will be there for our children,” she told lottery officials. We’re taking good care of it.”
