This is another one of those not so normal Christmas movies when you think of Christmas movies. The plot centers around Christmas though so it counts in my world. The Family Stone is a sleeper Christmas hit. It wasn’t super popular when it came out in theaters, but it has become a regular in the Christmas movie rotations on all the lists. I think it was released at about the time Sex In The City was at its peak and they tried to ride that wave with Sarah Jessica Parker as the lead. This was REALLY smart because she played the role PERFECTLY. Plus it had all kinds of star power, Craig T. Nelson, Diane Keaton, Dermot Mulroney, Luke Wilson, Claire Danes and Rachel McAdams. This movie is filled with tears and laughter. Added bonus, it will make your crazy family feel normal.
