Day 17 and 18 together because of the company Christmas party...OOPS!

The Grinch Jim Carey is the best Grinch

We had our company Christmas party yesterday. It was quite the heated white elephant gift exchange so I blew off the rest of the day. No reason to not be honest here. Once you have free pizza and co-worker cut throat antics over a Fireball candy cane and some scratch offs, who wants to work? Anyways here are day 17 and 18 in the Christmas movie Advent calendar.

Another classic comes in for day 17 and it was on Monday night! Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer! This just isn’t any Rudolph, this is Claymation Rudolph. Island of Misfit Toys and all. It was fun explaining to my son (again) how they film this and why it is so special. I was watching it the other night saying this must have taken FOREVER to film which makes me appreciate it that much more. It, like Frosty, disappeared for awhile off of TV but it’s back and it’s time for another generation to appreciate it...or make fun of it, whichever comes first.

We are getting close to the end so you KNEW this was going to pop up eventually. This is actually one of my son’s go to movies when I won’t let him watch YouTube. I have always loved the story of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, but the way Jim Carey transformed himself into The Grinch is pretty spectacular. It’s not a secret that my entire house is Grinch themed at Christmas. Last year I searched and searched for the viral Grinch tree that was at Hobby Lobby and couldn’t find it. I was lucky enough to buy one in JUNE this year and it proudly sits in the corner of our breakfast room. The Grinch is just misunderstood. He’s not a mean dude, he just needed a little love and understanding.

Something funny for you to laugh at, I love wearing the color green. I once had like an athletic type outfit that was this beautiful green from head to toe. My husband and my children would call it my grinch suit. Now every year they try and find me a new one so they can continue to make fun of me. Ridiculous.

The all time best part of my job is you, our Y100 family. That’s what country music and Y100 is, family. We are going to have so much fun together!
